May 31, 2011

Spring came and went with a field of dandelions that went to seed for next year's splendor. The dandelion "weed" truly is underrated, for its beauty and its importance to the fields in which it grows, pulling nutrients and water deep from within the soil. Summer is here to stay...Long days of Jason making hay and our fighting the elements for the survival of our gardens. Ahh, the situation of us all--how do we forget last year's heat, only to remember last winter's cold, longing for summer days--only to have them and regret their oppression?

It’s so good to know that I’m not the only one who believes a yard full of dandelions is a beautiful thing. I love those sunny yellow things! (Just don’t tell my dad, okay?) ~a

“Malcolm’s World” …reminiscent of “Christine’s World” (with our brother’s impaired vision…among other handicaps). That’s not nice. Pretend I didn’t say that. Honestly tho — i love this image and wish it was my world today.
